About

The Armenian Shakespeare Association (ASA) was founded in 2016 by a group of dedicated researchers and academics, working in the fields of theatre, comparative literature and Shakespeare studies in Armenia and Britain. Among ASA's objectives is to bring together Armenian and international academics, students and theatre practitioners, promote cultural exchange and education in Shakespearean research and performance. ASA organises bi-annual conferences in Armenia, annual symposiums and events in Europe and worldwide. ASA endeavors to engage and inspire the next generation of students to undertake Shakespeare studies in Armenia and beyond. Furthermore, ASA aims to engage with Armenian and international organisations, theatre festivals, directors and academics for cross-cultural research and cooperation.
