The Armenian Shakespeare Association (ASA) was set up in 2016 by a group of dedicated researchers and academics, working in the fields of theatre, comparative literature and Shakespeare studies. ASA aims to bring together Armenian and international academics, students and theatre practitioners, promoting cultural exchange and education in Shakespearean research and performance. ASA intends to organise annual conferences and talks, endorse and inspire new generations of students to undertake Shakespeare studies in Armenia and beyond. Furthermore, ASA plans to cooperate with other Armenian and international organisations, theatre festivals and artists supporting in Armenia and beyond.
